HYDRATE ORAL

HYDRATE ORAL is a veterinary oral rehydration product developed to support fluid, electrolyte and energy balance in animals affected by dehydration, diarrhea, stress or reduced water intake. The formulation combines readily available energy with key electrolytes and supportive nutrients in a form that can be administered conveniently through drinking water. According to the product label, its composition includes dextrose monohydrate, glycine, potassium chloride, sodium salts, phosphate and sodium propionate. Together, these components are intended to help replace fluids and electrolytes lost during digestive disturbances and other stressful conditions.
Dextrose provides a rapidly available energy source and can support the intestinal co-transport of sodium and water, an important mechanism in oral rehydration. Animals should be monitored for water intake, general activity, hydration status and persistence of digestive signs. When dehydration is advanced, when an animal is unable to drink, or when diarrhea or weakness persists, veterinary assessment is essential because intravenous fluid therapy, diagnostics or treatment of the underlying disease may be required.
HYDRATE ORAL is a supportive nutritional and electrolyte product rather than an antimicrobial treatment. It does not replace treatment of an underlying bacterial, viral, parasitic or metabolic disorder. Instead, it can be incorporated into a broader veterinary management plan to help maintain hydration and support recovery while the primary cause is addressed. Medicated or supplemented drinking water should be prepared according to the label, kept clean, and replaced within the recommended time after mixing.
